BUILDING a DREAM
A boy raised a fund of 90,000 USD to build a school for children in the highlands of Vietnam.
Nam Harrison is an 11-year-old Vietnamese boy, adopted by an American family when he was 11 months and currently living in California, US. With a big heart, Nam has a plan to give back to his birth country. He was determined to fulfill a wish that was to raise money to build a comfortable primary school for poor children in the mountain of Vietnam. The boy and his family have made great efforts to raise funds from relatives, neighbors, and sponsors. He also applied himself to a bakery to learn how to make cakes and then sell this item at the supermarket for extra funds. As a result, he has raised nearly 2 billion VND (about 90,000 USD) and built a spacious school in the mountains of Tay Giang, Vietnam for the children. Nam and his family, Ms. Maria look forward to raising more funds to carry out many other projects and schools for children in rural and mountain areas in Vietnam in the future.
